The Glamour Boys face a daunting task of reaching the final four of the Wafa-Wafa competition after being pitted against the Team of Choice – a side that has proven to be a hard nut to crack, and took four points off Amakhosi in the league last season, as well as dumping them out of the Telkom Knockout Cup at the semi-final stages.

Head coach Gavin Hunt has already been dealt a devastating setback with the absence of the club’s top goalscorer for the past term, Samir Nurković, who is nursing an injury after going under the knife, and is only expected back in training in three week’s time.

The other two players who will not feature against Maritzburg due to suspension issues are Lebogang Manyama and Willard Katsande, who have suspensions carried over from last season.

Manyama was shown his fourth yellow card of the 2019/20 campaign against the Team of Choice, while Katsande accumulated his fourth booking in the final match of the season against Baroka FC.

Both players will however be available for the fierce league opening battle against rivals Mamelodi Sundowns when the DStv Premiership resumes on October 24.
