With the provisional DStv Premiership fixtures having been revealed on Wednesday, here’s a look at Kaizer Chiefs’ first five matches of the 2020/21 season.

The Glamour Boys will get their new campaign underway with an MTN8 Quarterfinal humdinger against hoodoo side Maritzburg United at FNB Stadium on October 17, before the DStv Premiership commences on October 24.
Here are Chiefs’ five opening provisional fixtures:
24 October 2020 – Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns
Chiefs will have revenge locked in the back of their minds after Gaston Sirino’s solitary goal gave Masandawana a slender 1-0 victory towards the end of last season.

27 October 2020 – Chippa United vs Kaizer Chiefs
The last time these two sides met saw Amakhosi grinding out a hard-fought 1-0 victory courtesy of a Khama Billiat strike.

04 November 2020 – Kaizer Chiefs vs TS Galaxy FC
Perhaps one of the most talked-about fixtures since The Rockets got promoted via PSL status purchase, gloves will come off as Chiefs will be out to seek revenge after losing the 2019 Nedbank Cup final to the then GladAfrica Championship campaigners.
21 November 2020 – Golden Arrows vs Kaizer Chiefs
Lebogang Manyama struck late into stoppage time when these sides last met, with Chiefs holding out to grind out a 1-0 victory.

29 November 2020 – Swallows FC vs Kaizer Chiefs (date subject to change)
The original Soweto derby comes back to the fore after Maswaiswai gained automatic PSL promotion.
Chiefs and Swallows last clashed back in 2015 when the former ran out convincing 3-0 victors, courtesy of goals from Katlego Mphela, George Lebese and Bernard Parker.
