Former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has been officially been unveiled by Egyptian giants, Al Ahly, who confirmed that the head coach put pen to paper on a two-year deal.

The 56-year-old former Bafana Bafana mentor shocked the local football fraternity when he tendered his resignation on Wednesday, a few days after leading Sundowns to a domestic treble.
The Red Devils unveiled ‘Jingles’ on Thursday afternoon on their official Twitter account, adding that the head coach will be with the club for two seasons.
The Club of the Century also released a statement via the club’s official website, which read:
“Al Ahly and Pitso Mosimane have reached an agreement for the South African to take over as first team coach for the next two years.
The board have parted ways with Rene Weiler and announced that he is no longer the first team coach, as part of the board’s decisions issued during the board meeting held on Thursday morning.
Mosimane and his assistants will lead the team, starting from Saturday 2 October ,” the statement read.
Performance analyst Musi Matlaba has also left Sundowns to join Mosimane at Al Ahly, while assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena and fitness trainer Kabelo Rangoaga are expected to follow suit.
