SA players abroad midweek round-up

Following great results coming through from South Africa’s foreign-based players the past weekend, it was another good display from Mzansi’s foreign contingency in midweek.

We have a look below at how the results panned out:

Dino Ndlovu – Chinese Second Division

The Bafana Bafana striker recorded his name on the scoresheet as Zhejiang Greentown hammered Jiangxi Liansheng 4-0 in their league encounter.

May Mahlangu – Kazakhstan Premier League

The former South African international featured yet again and completed the entire 90 minutes for Ordabasy as they claimed a huge 4-0 success over Tobol in a league clash.

Bantu Mzwakali – Swedish Second Division

The former Bidvest Wits winger lasted 74 minutes for IK Brage who narrowly saw off GAIS 2-1.

Tom Barkhuizen – English Championship

The Bafana Bafana hopeful scored a rocket from just outside the box for Preston North End in their 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Derby County to progress to the third round.

George Lebese – USL Championship

Lebese was shortly taken off after the second stanza, as Colorado Springs Switchbacks suffered yet another defeat, going down 2-1 to El Paso Locomotive.

Ayabulela Konqobe & Darren Smith – Finnish Second Division

Both South Africans featured yet again, with Konqobe scoring his sixth goal of the campaign while Smith grabbed an assist, but they ended on the receiving end of a 4-2 drubbing by Jaro.
