After much speculation, Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have secured the services of four-time league winning coach Gavin Hunt following Ernst Middendorp’s dismissal.
Hunt, who saw his tenure at Bidvest Wits come to an end after the club’s PSL status was sold to TTM, is said to have finally agreed terms with Amakhosi ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The deal was completed after Hunt’s representatives met with the Chiefs management on Wednesday afternoon, and the 56-year-old mentor will be in the Chiefs dugout when the new term gets underway.
The Glamour Boys have been linked with Algerian coach Adel Amerouche and former tactician Stuart Baxter, though it is thought Hunt was always the frontrunner for the Amakhosi hotseat.
Chiefs are expected to make an announcement soon.
