With the two rivals level on 53 points with three matches left, Amakhosi were looking to pull away from the Tshwane giants but saw their hearts broken when Eva Nga netted a 93rd minute winner for Bidvest Wits at FNB Stadium.

Ernst Middendorp’s charges created numerous chances but were made to rue their missed chances as they succumbed to their seventh defeat of the season.

Reigning PSL champions Masandawana on the other hand needed to avoid a defeat in order to topple the Glamour Boys and take control of the log standings, but they too suffered a defeat when Ananias Gebhardt’s 20th minute header was enough to see them hold out for their first-ever win over the Brazilians in eight encounters.
