Nurković, who is Chiefs’ leading top goalscorer with 13 goals, one behind PSL top goalscorer Gabadinho Mhango, started the match from the bench, but was introduced early after Leonardo Castro suffered a knock and was unable to continue.

With the Glamour Boys having found the equaliser in the 70th minute after trailing for the majority of the match, Nurković picked up a needless yellow card in stoppage time, meaning he will miss the all-important fixture with Mamelodi Sundowns on Thursday.

The Serbian marksman will be a huge absence for his side after bagging both goals in Chiefs’ 2-0 victory over Sundowns in the reverse fixture.

Ernst Middendorp will hope to have Castro back as well as Lebogang Manyama, who has been struggling with a minor muscle strain.
