It was a weekend of mixed results for South African players abroad.

Below, is a breakdown of how they turned out for their respective clubs:

Percy Tau – Belgian Jupiler Pro League

The Bafana Bafana talisman made his long-awaited debut for Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht after sealing a season-long loan deal from English club Brighton and Hove Albion.

Tau came off the bench in the 64th minute, with his side leading 2-1, to score the third goal in the 93rd minute, with a sublime chip over goalkeeper, as the Purple & White ran out convincing 3-1 victors over Sint-Truiden.

Kurt Abrahams – Belgian Proximus League

The 23-year-old South African starlet featured for KV Westerlo, scoring twice as they recorded a 3-1 win over MVV Maastricht in their final pre-season friendly.

Keagan Dolly – French Ligue 1

Dolly, whose progress has been halted by recurring injuries, was a second-half substitute for Montpellier and got on the scoresheet, as they hammered Rodez 3-1 in a pre-season friendly.

Darren Smith & Ayabulela Konqobe – Finnish Second Division

The South African duo featured the entire match, as Smith netted his sixth goal of the season for Ekenas IF in their 1-1 draw against MP.

George Lebese – USL Championship

It was another frustrating weekend for the former Kaizer Chiefs man who started the match and was subbed in the 68th minute, as his side Colorado Springs Switchbacks narrowly lost 1-0 to New Mexico United.

Tumi Moshobane – USL Championship

The former Amakhosi youth product featured the entire match for San Diego Loyal who were beaten 2-0 by Phoenix Rising.
