Shalulile, 27, says that although everyone is going to be affected by the long break, he will continue challenging for the Golden Boot Award as his side will be looking to end the season with a remarkable finish.

The Lions of the North are currently on the eighth position of the Absa Premiership log and will resume their season against defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns at Dobsonville Stadium on August 14.

The Namibian international is currently tied with SuperSport United’s Bradley Grobler and AmaZulu FC’s Bongi Ntuli in the second place, while Orlando Pirates’s Gabadinho Mhango leads the scoring chart with 14 goals.

“To be honest my brother, you know if you are a player it doesn’t matter where you are playing, you just have to do your job,” Shalulile told KickOff.com.

“The break has been challenging you know, but it was for you to better yourself you know, to be more positive and be grateful for things that are happening around you.

“But now that things are getting back to where they were [before the season was suspended], we are more hungry now. We will see what will happen. To be honest with myself and to be honest with people, it is difficult but the form always remains if you are positive in everything that you do.

“Everyone is affected my boss, but it’s how you deal with situations like this. It’s still inside me, and I believe that I’m still having the same momentum inside me.”
