Ex-Pirates winger arrested!

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Bernard Morrison has been arrested in Tanzania after allegedly being caught in possession of illegal narcotics.

According to Kickoff.Com, the Ghanian international was arrested after he allegedly obstructed police from inspecting his car and was later found in possession of marijuana by Dar es Salaam officials during a routine search at a roadblock and was taken into custody.

Morrison was on the radar of Mamelodi Sundowns before landing a deal at the Buccaneers in 2016, and is currently on the books of Young Africans SC in Tanzania.

The 27-year-old has since been released on bail shortly after his arrest and is set to appear in court for his transgression.

The talented winger quickly became a fan favourite in the Tanzanian top-flight with several eye-catching displays en route to finishing as runners-up behind champions Simba SC.

The former Bucs winger’s arrest come a few days after his former coach at the Tanzanian outfit Luc Eymael was fired at the start of the week under controversial circumstances.
