Mamelodi Sundowns have announced that they have extended star striker Sibusiso Vilakazi’s contract for yet another four years.
Vilakazi, 30, joined the Tshwane giants during the 2016/17 campaign, spending four good seasons at Chloorkop where he won four trophies – two League titles (17/18, 18/19), the Telkom Knockout Cup (19/20) and the CAF Super Cup in 2017.
In celebrating the milestone, ‘Vila’ says that he is honoured to be granted the opportunity to further achieve greater things with Masandawana.
“I am honoured, I am humbled and I am excited to be given another opportunity to play for this great team. I would like to thank the President (Dr. Patrice Motsepe), the board for trusting and having faith in me and also my coach (Pitso Mosimane), the technical team, my teammates for playing a part as well in me given this opportunity,” Vilakazi was quoted on the club’s official website.
The Bafana Bafana international insisted that he will continue putting all his heart and effort to the Brazilians, and that he will forever be grateful for the opportunity given to him.
“The story continues, I am here to win trophies and more trophies are coming. Ka Bo Yellow,” concluded Vila.
The Soweto-born striker is currently on ten goals across all competitions being on a good track to have one of his best scoring seasons and will be looking to add to his figures once football resumes.
