The 31-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs man was unveiled last week by the Chloorkop outfit shortly after being released by the Glamour Boys, who opted not to extend his contract until the end of the season.

With PSL clubs having been given the green light to resume training this week, the defending Absa Premiership are said to have skipped the province in order to set up their base camp in the Northwest.

Pitso Mosimane’s charges have reportedly set up their camp at the Royal Marang Hotel in Rustenburg, as they pre-empt that the league will resume in the Northwest Province.

“Sundowns have booked the Royal Marang Hotel and have set up their training camp here in Rustenburg. They arrived here on Sunday and started training on Monday,” the club confirmed on their official website.

“North West is one of the provinces that is earmarked to host the PSL games. I understand the MEC for Sport and Recreation has written the proposal to the PSL and is waiting for their approval.

“They have already had meetings with the management at Sun City, which could be a possible venue for the accomodation.”

When league action resumes, Sundowns will take on rivals Orlando Pirates, while Chiefs will be entertaining Bidvest Wits.
