A run of three successive defeats for Crystal Palace has seen them slip further down the league standings, and they will be looking for a positive response when they entertain Chelsea at Selhurst Park on Tuesday evening.

Chelsea on the other hand are full of confidence having bounced back from their 3-2 defeat to West Ham United, to see off relegation-threatened Watford 3-0 at the weekend.

The duo of James Tomkins and Jeffrey Schlupp remain sidelined for the Eagles ahead of this clash.

Andros Townsend, Cheikhou Kouyate and James McCarthy are all expected to be part of the starting XI for Roy Hodgson.

Frank Lampard has been dealt with a huge injury blow to N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic, who will both be ruled out for the clash.

Youngster Billy Gilmour replaced Kante in the previous match and could play part against Palace.

Having sat out the win over The Hornets, Antonio Rudiger is likely to come in for Kurt Zouma at the heart of the Blues defence.
