Barça star celebrates obtaining driver’s licence aged 31!

WHILE most people would have already obtained a driver’s license by the age of 20, Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba begs to differ as he finally celebrates getting his at the ripe age of 31.

The Spanish international was clearly not as eager here, however, doing his fair share of racing up and down the Nou Camp turf ahead of now cutting it as a driver on the road. Teammate Gerard Pique revealed, last year, that Alba would get lifts to training from his father every day.

Getting the short end of the stick for the same when the Blaugrana and Real Madrid clashed in El Clasico back in December, Alba was mocked by Raphael Varane for not having a license. In what could now be seen as a clap back to that cheeky slight more than a half year ago, it has emerged that the World Cup winner passed his theory and practical tests, and can finally take to the road at his own behest.

He has gone on to do exactly this, and in some style, as footage emerged of the former Valencia defender arriving at Barça’s training facility recently, sporting a slick black Range Rover Sport, which is officially his first car. One would, however, hope Alba has the right hang of driving this beast to avoid any calamity, and continue to run out for Barcelona as he has done so earnestly week in and week out for a number of seasons now.
