Having suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Thursday, Liverpool will be eager to restore their pride when they welcome relegation-threatened Aston Villa to Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds were given a football lesson by the Citizens who made light work of the newly-crowned Premier League champions with a 4-0 thrashing at the Etihad Stadium.

Villa on the other hand are keen to cause an upset in order to move away from the relegation zone after they narrowly lost their last league clash 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.

Dean Smith is likely to welcome back Frederic Guilbert but duo Bjorn Engels and Matt Targett will probably miss out on this clash.
