The Glamour Boys announced on Monday afternoon that the trio of young goalkeeper Brylon Petersen, and midfielders Philani Zulu and Siphelele Ntshangase had all put pen-to-paper on new deals that will keep them at the Naturena-based outfit until the end of the 2020/21 season.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi have remained mum on what the situation is for outgoing midfielder Maluleka, whether he will remain at the club to finish the 2019/20 campaign or be released earlier.

The 31-year-old attacking midfielder rejected a new deal from Chiefs earlier this year after abandoning contract talks prematurely, before admitting he had penned a pre-contract with rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

The football governing body, FIFA has however urged clubs globally to complete the current campaign with the same squad before the enforced coronavirus lockdown that brought a halt to world sport.

With Chiefs still having to play Sundowns at home, their reasoning behind keeping ‘Mido’ till the end of the season, could be based on the fact that they would not want to give Sundowns an added advantage by releasing a player who could give the defending champions inside information in their hunt for league honours.

It also remains unknown at this stage if Chiefs will still field Maluleka for the remaining matches of the season if he stays, or if they will relegate him to the stands until the season is completed.
