SPANISH giants Barcelona and Italian champions Juventus seem to have agreed on terms for a midfielder swap, according to the latest transfer rumours going.
The two clubs have recently been holding talks over an exchange of their star midfielders, Arthur and Miralem Pjanić, which now appear to have been finalized, according to the Italian publication La Repubblica. The swap deal expected to be finalized before June 30. Left to be agreed by the two clubs is the final valuation, the report added.
It was revealed earlier on ahead of the now said agreement, Pjanić had already agreed on personal terms with the Catalan giants, with Barcelona manager Quique Setién, reportedly giving the green light for the deal. However, the stumbling block in the swap deal was revealed to be Barça’s midfield ace, Arthur, who had his heart set on wanting to stay at Camp Nou.
Pjanić, however, is said to be looking forward to the new challenge. A La Gazzetta Dello Sport report had also revealed that in the case of the swap deal not happening, Barcelona was willing to offer a player plus cash deal to Juventus to get Pjanić to the club.
