Liverpool could lose out on title if the world ENDS on Sunday!

The idea of doomsday has long-dominated human existence; finding a place at dinner tables, church halls and even campfires, among a number of spaces where people congregate and live.

But Liverpool fans will not be happy to learn that their long-awaited title hopes now hang on a knife-edge. That is if one scientist’s theory of the world ending on June 21, the same day Liverpool contest the Merseyside derby with the chance of clinching the league, is anything to go by.

Conspiracy theorists have predicted the world will end on June 21, the same day Liverpool could be crowned Premier League champions, after a 30-year-long wait (Image: Sourced).

Liverpool are currently 25 points clear at the top of the league and almost certain of being crowned champions on Sunday, should Manchester City lose to Arsenal in their Wednesday fixture, or be crowned any of a number of fixtures after; as they require only six points to scamper to this inevitable fate. This after the coronavirus pandemic brought the season to a grinding halt in mid-March but which now beckons to resume from June 17.

However, the conspiracy of the world ending has come back with a vengeance, famously last featuring in any conversation the world over in 2012. Scientist Paolo Tagaloguin recently explained on Twitter: “Following the Julian Calendar, we are technically in 2012. The number of days lost in a year due to the shift into Gregorian Calendar is 11 days. For 268 years using the Gregorian Calendar (1752-2020) times 11 days = 2 948 days. 2 948 days / 365 days (per year) = 8 years”.

According to the calculations, this means June 21 is actually December 21, the day in 2012 our world was predicted to end. For Jürgen Klopp and his side, as well as the rest of us who don’t want the world to end, can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to NASA. “The story started with claims that Nibiru, a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, is headed toward Earth,” the space agency claimed per Happy Mag.

This catastrophe was initially predicted for May 2003, but when nothing happened the doomsday date was moved forward to December 2012 and linked to the end of one of the cycles in the ancient Mayan calendar at the winter solstice in 2012 – hence the predicted doomsday date of December 21, 2012.

“For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none. And for all the fictional assertions, whether they are made in books, movies, documentaries or over the Internet, we cannot change that simple fact. There is no credible evidence for any of the assertions made in support of unusual events taking place in December 2012.
