The Naturena-based club was the latest team to have enquired about the services of the midfielder, however, new information has emerged indicating that the fierce battle is now between Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
According to a source close to the Braamfontein-based, both Sundowns and Pirates have dug deeper in their pocket to make the offer more enticing.
“The battle now remains between the two teams, Pirates and Sundowns,” revealed a close source as quoted by KickOff.Com
“It’s a huge battle. I think at the end the decision is no longer going to be about money but the boy’s heart, where he wants to play next season.”
Hotto is not the only player both teams are fighting to secure, with influential Bafana Bafana defender Thulani Hlatshwayo being the other player, though he has since opted to join the Buccaneers.
Other players who were also chased by the two sides in the past, is Sibusiso Vilakazi and Sifiso Myeni, with Vilakazi ending up at Chloorkop and Myeni in Parktown.
