Following reports indicating that Mamelodi Sundowns have tabled a multi-million-rand offer for Bidvest Wits trio, it now seems like the enticing offer could hit a snag.

Masandawana are said to have offered the Braamfontein-based club a tempting R17 million rand bid for the services of captain Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto and Hashim Domingo.

The deal might take longer than expected or might not even happen as all three parties – the selling club, buying club, and the players involved – must all be on the same page.

The fact that Orlando Pirates is also in the equation after they were confirmed to have tabled an offer for the Students captain, poses a huge threat to the deal.

The experienced defender has been on Pirates’ radar for months now, and it will now remain to be seen if the Brazilians succeed in signing all three players or the Sea Robbers will successfully hijack the deal.
