Though the club already has three players heading to Chloorkop ahead of next season, club president Patrice Motsepe has confirmed that Mamelodi Sundowns is after the services of two top players from outside South Africa.

Speaking during a virtual press conference held at Chloorkop on Thursday afternoon, Motsepe applauded the work done by everyone at the club, before talking about the two players they would like to bring in.

“Yugesh [Singh] has done excellently, so has Kenneth [Makhanya], so has Sizwe [Ndimande] and the rest of the technical team,” Motsepe said during the media briefing on Thursday.

“All of the players who are part of our plans for the future, we feel comfortable the good work has been done. Part of the challenge is that two of the players we are chasing are not in South Africa.”

With the club already having filled up their foreign quota of five players, they will have to release at least two foreign players, and it is thought Ivorian defender Bangaly Soumahoro, whose contract is up next month, and Jose Ali Meza will be sacrificed.

Though the names of the two players have not being mentioned, it is thought that former Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona is a likely target after his contract with Belgian giants Anderlecht was terminated, with Pitso Mosimane having previously admitted of his admiration for the Zimbabwean captain.
