Chelsea and England winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has reportedly been released on bail since being arrested in the early hours of Sunday when police responded to a report of an ‘unwell woman’.

Details around what transpired between the pair are sketchy but it is understood, per previous reports, that Hudson-Odoi was apprehended at his west London home. Police said the 19-year-old allegedly breached lockdown regulations to be with a woman.

The same woman is said to have later contacted police, with the Metropolitan Police confirming that they and the London Ambulance Service, had dispatched for a report at the address. A claim by the woman would later suggest that she and Hudson-Odoi had an ‘argument’ resulting in the unnamed woman being taken to the hospital.

The 19-year-old has since been released from custody and reportedly ordered to return to a police station in mid-June as enquiries continue. Chelsea have still not released a statement regarding the matter. Hudson-Odoi, who has played three times for England, became the first Premier League player to test positive for coronavirus in March, on the same day as the news that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta had tested positive.

But he made a full recovery shortly thereafter, but not before Premier League bosses made the decision to suspend the season, which as is stands, suspended indefinitely. Hudson-Odoi will like other Premier League players await a return of the season while everybody else waits to find out more on the drama surrounding the player.
