SA: Confirmed cases are now 1934, lockdown extended by 14 days

In a late-night address to the people of South Africa, President Cyril Ramaphosa said that it is too early to make a decision on the lockdown, but there is evidence that it is working.

He also added that the confirmed cases are now 1 934. In a somewhat shocking announcement, he also said that the lockdown will be extended another two weeks.

“We have to prevent a massive loss of live,” he said.
