Mamelodi Sundowns legendary footballer Roger Feutmba is confident that his former club will do whatever it takes to make sure that Pitso Mosimane remains at Chloorkop past the current season.
The highly-rated coach has been having contract talks with the current Absa Premiership holders for several months now although he has expressed his desire to remain with Sundowns, both sides don’t seem to be finding common ground.
The 55-year-old mentor took charge in Tshwane in 2012 and has since transformed the club into one of the best teams on the African continent.
Feutmba expressed his admiration for ‘Jingles’, while insisting that the former Bafana Bafana coach still has unfinished business with the 2016 Champions League winning club.
“Pitso Mosimane must stay at Sundowns. What people want, management want and supporters want are the results and I believe he has given that a lot to the team,” Feutmba told KickOff.com.
“But we must remember it’s not only about the team, it is up to coach Pitso if he wants to move away from Sundowns or not, to look for another challenge and all that.
“For him to stay at Downs there’s still a lot to learn, a lot of challenges trying to win the league and making sure he gets another CAF Champions League.
“There’s always a big challenge for a big team like Sundowns, so why not stay? I think they must consider him staying a little bit longer.”
Overall, Pitso has won eight major titles with the Brazilians including the 2016 CAF Champions League crown.
