Kapinga had received endless praises from the Belgian coach during his spell as the coach of Lidoda Duvha, referring to the 24-year-old as his ‘own son’.

“About Kapinga, it’s a very good thing for him and his career if he has signed for Sundowns, but for me I think what will happen at Sundowns is that they will loan him somewhere,” Eymael told Soccer Laduma.

“For me it would have been better for him to grow for one year somewhere else. If Sundowns loan him somewhere else in South Africa, it can be a good thing.

“If it’s true that he has signed for Sundowns, I will ask Pitso to loan him to us if I stay at Yanga (Eymael’s current club from Tanzania) because that will be a good thing for him. One year of good competition, and to play regularly, rather than to go and compete with the stars at Sundowns because the midfield there is very strong.”

“Look at what happened with (Sammy) Seabi and other players. They loaned Nyiko Mobbie also to Stellenbosch. That was a good thing because Nyiko will continue to grow. I think they will loan him (Kapinga) also, but I don’t know, I’m not in the head of Pitso. Perhaps, they will also loan Seabi. Let’s see what will happen!”
