Ahead of his eagerly-anticipated move to Mamelodi Sundowns next season, a former Kaizer Chiefs dribbling wizard believes there’s an agenda behind George Maluleka’s signing.
The 31-year-old Bafana Bafana international called off new contract negotiations with Amakhosi, to confirm he had penned a pre-contract with their rivals for the 2020/21 campaign.
And now with the season being halted by the coronavirus pandemic outbreak, former Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has had his say on Maluleka’s move to Sundowns.
“Sundowns have hurt Chiefs big time with the signing of George. That’s a huge blow!, ” Khanye told Soccer Laduma.
“But I want to believe that they haven’t signed him to play (regularly), they are disturbing Chiefs.”
The former SuperSport United and Ajax Cape Town midfielder, who has been a long-term target of Pitso Mosimane, will form part of a star-studded Sundowns midfield that is already comprised of seasoned campaigners like Hlompho Kekana, Andile Jali, Tiyani Mabunda and Oupa Manyisa.
