Oupa Manyisa has been heavily linked with an exit from Mamelodi Sundowns following recurring injury problems that have haltered his progress.
‘Ace’ has been sidelined with an Achilles injury for the rest of the season after being stretchered off in Sundowns’ 4-2 defeat to Kaizer Chiefs in the Shell Helix Ultra Cup in October 2019.
The former Orlando Pirates captain’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and Manyisa will reportedly join Bidvest Wits before the following campaign gets underway.
“With the way things have been going, I can tell you that Ace will be playing at Wits next season, just watch the space,” said the source according to Phakaaathi.
“He might have been injured but it seems like he is still considered to be very good and can do the job. I also think Wits will be a good club for him because they are very competitive and he will fit well there. He will be back to full fitness soon and probably before the season ends, especially since we don’t know when the PSL is going to come back after being stopped because of the coronavirus.”
