Mokwena has since received some words of support and encouragement since he took charge of the Port Elizabeth-based club at the beginning of the month, with the Pirates youth development coach Mandla Qhogi adding onto the list of messages to the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach.

“Coach Ru likes his job and works very hard (insightful & knowledgeable about the game) and I would like to wish him all the best,” the coach said as quoted by SoccerLaduma

On the other hand, the PSL also applauded Mokwena for his ‘passion’ for the game on their official Twitter page.

The young coach has been preparing the Chilli Boys for their upcoming tie against Cape Town City before the league announced that this week and the weekend’s fixtures have been suspended due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
