Stellies have recently bounced back following a rough start in the top-flight, finding themselves currently in 11th place on the log, with a win putting them straight to the top eight, a position every team at the bottom will love to see themselves in.

Sundowns on the other hand are in need of maximum points as they are chasing log leaders Kaizer Chiefs for the title, with the coach insisting that they will not underestimate their opponents despite their first leg results that saw his side edge the Cape Town-based club 3-1.

“This team has beaten SuperSport United, they’ve beaten Orlando Pirates also if I am not mistaken,” Mosimane wa quoted by Soccer Laduma

“So, you can never take them for granted, they are fighters – when we played them at Loftus they gave us a big scare, they scored early and they scored first and we were coming from behind even though we managed to beat them 3-1 but that was not the true reflection of the game.

“They have a good coach in Steve Barker, very rigid and tough coach, doesn’t give much away and of course they will like to win against us because they believe they can win against us but we have to fight for the points, it is important to get the points.”

“Yes they are fresh and we come from a big game where we left everything and fought hard for the game irrespective of us qualifying or not, we really gave everything in that game, so let’s hope the bodies are right and they are recovered,” he added.

Kickoff gets underway on Wednesday, March 11 at 19:30 at the Athlone Stadium, Cape Town.
