It was another great weekend with great results coming through for South African players abroad who featured for their respective clubs across the globe.

George Lebese featured for Colorado Springs Switchbacks in the USL Championship.

George Lebese – USL Championship

The former Kaizer Chiefs winger played the entire 90 minutes for Colorado Springs Switchbacks as they recorded a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Energy FC in their first league match of the season.

Kobamelo Kodisang – Portuguese Campeonato

The South African youth international came on in the last 30 minutes for SC Braga B, and scored his second goal of the campaign as they cruised to a 2-0 win over AD Oliveirense.

Percy Tau – Belgium Jupiler Pro League

‘The Lion of Judah’ started on the bench for Club Brugge in the Brugge Derby, as they maintained their grip at the summit of the league standings with a 2-1 win over Cercle Brugge.

Bantu Mzwakali – Swedish Superettan

The former Ajax Cape Town and Bidvest Wits winger came on in the second stanza to grab an assist for IK Brage who ran out 3-1 victors over Oskarshamns.

Liam Jordan – Danish 1st Division

Jordan featured close to 90 minutes and aided his team, HB Koge, to a 2-0 victory over Vendsyssel.

Thabo Cele – Portuguese LigaPro

Cele came on as early as the 20th minute for Cova da Piedade who claimed a 2-1 win over SC Covilha.

May Mahlangu – Kazakhstan Premier League

The former Bafana Bafana midfielder played the entire match for Ordabasy FC, who picked up a vital 1-0 win over Okzhetpes.

Keanin Ayer & Tahreeq Matthews – Swedish Superettan

Both SA youngsters featured the entire 90 minutes for Varberg BoIS, with Matthews scoring the opening goal in their 1-1 draw against IF Brommapojkarna.

Lebo Moloto – USL Championship

Moloto featured for the entire match and was involved in his side’s equalizer, as his team FC Tulsa held Sacramento Republic to a 1-1 draw in their first match of the season.

Tumi Moshobane – USL Championship

Moshobane was a 64th minute substitute for San Diego Loyal who played out to a 1-1 draw against Las Vegas Lights.

Bongani Zungu – French Ligue 1

The Bafana Bafana midfield maestro played 90 minutes for Amiens SC in their pulsating 2-2 draw against Olympique Marseille.

Lars Veldwijk – Chinese K League 1

The forgotten Bafana Bafana striker lasted 79 minutes for Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in their 2-2 draw against Sydney in their Asian Champions League clash.

Lebogang Phiri – French Ligue 2

After a run of successive wins, EA Guingamp were brought back to earth, going down 2-1 to Rodez FC, with Phiri featuring the entire 90 minutes.
