The former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder featured for the entire 90 minutes as Sabail FC held second-placed Neftchi to a 1-1 stalemate.

George Lebese – USL Championship

Lebese featured for Colorado Springs Switchbacks as they ran riot over University of Denver with a 4-2 thrashing in their pre-season preparations. He had also started the previous match as they narrowly edged Air Force Academy 1-0.

Mihlali Mayambela – Israel Premier League

Mayambela kept his place in the starting pack, featuring for 90 minutes for Bnei Yehuda Tel Aviv, as they played out to a 0-0 draw against Hapoel Haifa.

Bongani Zungu – French Ligue 1

‘Ben 10’ came on in the last 25 minutes at home for Amiens as they lost 1-0 against Metz.

Thibang Phete – Portuguese LigaNos

Phete put in another fine display for Belenenses SAD, who held fifth-placed Rio Ave to a 0-0 draw.

Kurt Abrahams – Belgium Second Division

Abrahams played the entire match for KVC Westerlo but could not help them claim maximum points, falling to a humiliating 3-1 defeat at the hands of Percy Tau’s former club Royal Union Saint Gilloise.

Lebogang Mothiba – French Ligue 1
