It is for the same reason that the club decided against taking the striker on their winter break training camp in Spain, over concerns he may have difficulty getting back into the UK. Ighalo is expected to travel with the squad for Monday’s game at Chelsea. Per BBC Sport, Ighalo has been training elsewhere, with support from the club using a personalised fitness programme to get him ready for his debut outing at the Blues.

Ighalo will be at the Red Devils for the rest of the season from the Chinese top-flight club. The current medical advice is that travellers coming into the UK from specific countries, including China, quarantine themselves for 14 days. Numerous sporting events have been cancelled in China and the Far East, including the Formula One Chinese Grand Prix.
