The German coach highlighted that although he witnessed some rustiness from the Zimbabwean international, and with Amakhosi going into the final stretch, Billiat will be needed.

The 29-year-old forward returned from six weeks of enforced rest without a competitive game with no declared injury after he was given some time off, as the coach and his technical team found him to be jaded.

“We are definitely very‚ very pleased to have Khama [back]. That was our intention taking him out from December 22‚ and taking him out for a long time‚” Middendorp said as quoted by TimesLive.

“And you can now see. He has a good touch‚ he’s sprinting 100 percent. But on the other side‚ being out for such a long time‚ don’t over-stretch it. Probably today 45 minutes‚ and in the near future 60 minutes.

“It was his first competitive 45 minutes after a long time not involved. And what I have seen – ja‚ good.”

In the absence of Billiat, The Glamour Boys have maintained positive results that kept them at the summit of the Absa Premiership log with nine points.
