Micho was on Monday officially unveiled as the new man in charge of the Zambian national team after mutually parting ways with Egyptian giants Zamalek at the end of last year.

Zambian players Justing Shonga, Augustine Mulenga and Austin Muwowo, who were all brought to the Buccaneers during Micho’s time there, are in line to once again play under the Serbian tactician in Chipolopolo colours.

Since Jozef Zinnbauer’s arrival at Mayfair, all three players have struggled for game-time under the German mentor’s tutelage, and would have to break their duck there first before they can be considered for selection in the national team.

This past weekend, where Pirates survived a Chippa United onslaught to claim a hard-fought 2-1 win, Muwowo and Shonga were unused substitutes, with Mulenga barely even making it into the matchday squad.
