Orlando Pirates assistant coach Rhulani Mokwena’s absence was again hard not to notice when the club opened their doors for the media ahead of their clash against Mamelodi Sundowns at Rand Stadium.
The Buccaneers are set to welcome Sundowns for the Absa Premiership crunch at Orlando Stadium on Wednesday evening.
This will be the very first encounter between the two coaches since Josef Zinnbauer’s appointment, which is expected to be a very tough test for both sides.
On the other hand, Mokwena remains absent from his duties again, as the Sea Robbers will be without their assistant coach who has been missing in actions since the appointment of head coach Zinnbauer in December.

With Fadlu Davids the other assistant coach and has been on Zinnbauer’s side since he took over, the German mentor was asked about his current technical team and if he was satisfied with the arrangement, only to reveal that there’s a new coach in his technical team.
“We have a good staff and we are working very hard,” said the Pirates head coach as quoted by SoccerLaduma.
“There is a new coach now and it is new work – we have a good feeling and they are taking all the information and I also get what I want. It’s good for me, and it’s not a question of needing more. We are happy about his,” Zinnbauer explained
The open day saw the Rand Stadium full of players even those linked with possible exits during the transfer window as they intensify training ahead of their warfare with the Brazilians.
