The Pretoria-based club has extended their unbeaten run to five games while the Johannesburg-based also enjoy their winning momentum having won three consecutive games.

Both teams are in the title race and could potentially catch up with log leaders Chiefs, with the Brazilians occupying the second place with 32 points following nine wins, four draws, and two defeats while the Students occupy the fourth place with 26 points following eight wins, two draws, two defeats and three games in hand.

Coach Gavin Hunt’s side will, however, head into the encounter with a blow following the suspension of midfielder Thabang Monare, who picked up his fourth yellow card of the season.

Key players to look out for from both sides is South American attacker Gaston Sirino and former Orlando Pirates midfielder Gift Motupa, who both scored for their respective teams in their last draw.

Head-to-Head

The last time the two sides met was in December 2019 where they settled for a 1-1 draw while their last three encounters all ended in a share of spoils.
