Mwandile Masina, who is also a member of the ANC NEC says terms such as restructuring, unbundling and business rescue are equal to privatization “which is not ANC Policy”.
He goes on to link the latest management decisions at SAA with the controversial process by the wealthy Oppenheimer family to acquire their own private terminal at OR Tambo International Airport which culminated in an extended legal challenge between them and former Minister Malusi Gigaba.
“Clearly Fireblade (is) no longer sufficient in serving their interests now they want whole thing!!!”

SAA announced that business rescue practitioner Les Matuson will manage its voluntary business rescue process starting today. In a press statement issued on yesterday, the airline said it “understands that this decision (to enter business rescue) presents many challenges and uncertainties for its staff.”
