According to KickOff.com, dribbling wizard Lefa Hlongwane, who plies his trade for Limpopo outfit Black Leopards, has been earmarked as the player to take over Molangoane’s position on the right wing.

Hlongwane is reportedly not seeing eye-to-eye with his coach Luc Eymael, and was recently relegated to the bench though he’s said to be the club’s best player.

The 26-year-old’s agent Bevan Dicks neither confirmed nor denied his client’s links to Amakhosi, but admitted if there was interest, they would have to speak to Lidoda Duvha.

“The boy is contracted to Black Leopards. If there’s interest in Lefa I’m sure Kaizer Chiefs will contact Mr [David] Thidiela. We’ve got to respect the boy’s contract,” Dicks told KickOff.com.

“Kaizer Chiefs is a big club and a big brand. So I’m sure if something comes through the boy will grab the opportunity with both hands. But again, we must respect his contract at Black Leopards and take it as it comes.”

Molangoane, 31, extended his current contract by a further year but could be released in the January transfer window to make room for new blood.
