AmaZulu head coach Jozef Vukuzic has confirmed that the club is set to offload former Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars defender Tshepo Gumede as he is not part of the plans going forward.
The senior player is soon to be a free agent after he was informed that his services are no longer needed in the KwaZulu Natal-based club.
The news was revealed by the coach after his side was held to a goalless stalemate by Maritzburg United in their Absa Premiership clash on Sunday at King Zwelithini Stadium.
“The question about Tshepo is he is not in our plans, he’s not. That is simple and he knows,” Vukusic said as quoted by KickOff.Com.
The 28-year-old joined Usuthu as a free agent following his departure with Cape Town City at the end of the 2017/18 season.
Gumede recently extended his stay with Usuthu after he signed a two-year contract extension in June this year, however it seems things are not going as planned.
The Soweto-born defender made a name for himself at the now defunct Dikwena where he won the MTN8 and Telkom Knockout Cups back in 2013, which earned him a big move to the Buccaneers.
The former SuperSport United product will now look to find another home with the January transfer window around the corner.
