The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse(OUTA) has welcomed the Gauteng North High Court ruling against Dudu Myeni.
The High Court ruled against Myeni’s amendment plea to have other former directors at SA Airways join her application in her directorship delinquency case.
Myeni had previously argued if OUTA wants her to be declared a delinquent, it should also declare all the directors she served with at SA Airways delinquent.
However, the court ruled against the amendment application on Monday, a move welcomed by OUTA’s chief executive officer Wayne Duvenage.
This ruling means that former SA Airways board chairperson Myeni will go on trial next year over the directorship delinquency case.
Myeni, who is currently the chairperson of the Jacob Zuma Foundation, is seen as having played a part in the collapse of the ailing national carrier.
OUTA wants Myeni to be declared a delinquent director and be banned from serving as a director at any public institutions.
