A man was shot dead in the middle of the road at a Westville mall in Durban on Thursday.

The man who was reportedly one of the suspects who were involved in a robbery of a Pick ‘n pay and Post office at the mall got into a shootout with the police before he was gunned down.
His alleged accomplices managed to flee the scene in a double cab bakkie.
Police reportedly discovered the vehicle which was burned and dumped a few kilometres from the scene.
Police were on the scene investigating for further details.
