So nice she had to do it twice – Nadia Nakai takes home 2 more awards in Nigeria!

Last night, 23 November, the 6th annual AFRIMAs took place in style.

Held at the Lagos’ Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, the awards saw some some of Africa’s biggest stars under one roof. Which is applaudable considering the recent news of xenophobia these past few months.

The prestigious event – which was broadcast live on DStv channel 196, GOTV 129 and AIT – was hosted by South Africa’s very own media personality Pearl Thusi who looked stunning in an Iconic Invanity design.

The highlight of the whole evening however, was South African rapper Nadia Nakai, who took home two awards – the Best Female Artiste in Southern African and Best Artiste Duo or Group in African Hip Hop.

In response to her wins Nadia said, “bringing home two awards… Babe that’s because I’m working at becoming an influential musician myself.”

This is Nadia’s second win after she won Best Female at the South African Hip Hop Awards on Wednesday night. This, of course, came as no surprise as her fans have always referred to her as the Queen of SA Hip Hop.
