Kaizer Chiefs striker Khama Billiat, who is currently out to perform his national team duties, is expected to rejoin his club just before their Telkom Knockout semi-finals against Maritzburg United.

Like most prominent Absa Premiership players who have been called up to partake in the 2021 African Cup qualifiers, Billiat showed up for his side that settled for a goalless stalemate with Botswana in their opener.

The Naturena-based club will be looking forward to welcoming Billiat back as they will be without several of their key players forcing the coach to make few changes.

The Glamour Boys will be without goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, defender Erick Mathoho and midfielder Willard Katsande, who are all out serving their suspensions.

The Warriors, on the other hand, will be hoping to bounce back when they face Zambia on Tuesday with the forward expected to return back to Chiefs on Wednesday just before their TKO semi-finals.

Billiat and his home team did not appear to be solid as expected with their performance described as ‘the worst at home in living memory’.

The 29-year-old former Mamelodi Sundowns forward revealed that he was not happy with the way his home side performed and that they will be looking to do better when they face competitive Chipolopolo away from home at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, Zambia.
