Facebook has banned the sexual use of emojis

Facebook and Instagram have decided to ban any sexual activity hidden as emojis from its social media platform, the social media platform updated its Community Standards which included now restrictions on all commonly used sexual emojis.

The restriction that went into effect in September prohibits users from using emojis like the eggplant, peach and water drip in a suggestive manner, basically because it “seems horny”.

In case you don’t know, these emojis at times has a different meaning under, for instance, eggplant (penis), peach emoji (butt), water drip (ejaculation).

Furthermore, Facebook has also banned the use of emojis to cover genitalia, butts, or female nipples.

However, a representative for the social media platforms gave a statement eloquently reassuring that: “We aren’t taking action on simply the emojis.”
