Stellies were set to host the Buccaneers at the Athlone Stadium, but have now confirmed to moving the match to a bigger venue, which will now be at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Stadium.

The homeless club is likely to spend the entire season playing in Cape Town, rather than in Stellenbosch, which will be a strain for fans as they will be forced to travel 50km to the Mother City rather than getting to watch their team in the comfort of their own backyard.

The Western Cape-based club were promoted at their tidy base in Idas Valley last season.

However, due to the lack of appropriate facilities, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) ordered that the venue must undergo a major renovation in order to be fit for their top-flight matches.

Throughout the start of the season, the club has been in-and-out of various venues, having used the University campus for bigger matches with the intention of keeping the club close to the community.

However, none of the venues fulfill the strict criteria demanded by the PSL.

Although Stellenbosch have received support from the municipality for the needed improvements‚ they still have a long way to go before they can cement their place in one venue.
