Springboks secure fourth spot, Wales topple All Blacks

Wales have topped rugby union’s world rankings for the first time after beating England 13-6 in Cardiff on Sunday.

The Dragons’ rise to the summit ended New Zealand’s unbroken 10-year occupation, and comes just 34 days before the Rugby World Cup kicks off in Japan.

The Red Roses’ loss to Wales also saw them slip a spot down and have now been overtaken by South Africa, who remain unbeaten in 2019 after overcoming Argentina 24-18 in their Farewell Test at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
