Absa Premiership club SuperSport United are believed to be evaluating Uruguayan striker Martin Bueno who spent time training with Polokwane City.
The Uruguayan marksman arrived in the country to train with Rise and Shine during the off-season, and is said to have impressed City’s technical team but opted not to stay.
Bueno has since been spotted sweating it out at Matsatsantsa a Pitori hoping to win a contract with the Pretoria-based club.
With the team failing to score their first goal of the new campaign after losing 2-0 to reigning PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns in their first game of the season, Kaitano Tembo could be looking to reinforce his attacking options before the transfer window closes.
A source told Kickoff.com that the Uruguayan striker was no longer training with Polokwane City.
“Bueno is no longer training with Polokwane City. He is now training with SuperSport United.”
“It’s still not clear if he will sign with SuperSport or not,” added the source.
