‘Shabba’ joined Erzurumspor almost a year go but had a mixed stay with the club because of their constant changing on the technical bench.

“He obviously went back to honour his current contract, but we knew we were going to have to negotiate the package because of relegation. But they wanted to cut his salary in half and we couldn’t agree to that,” the players’ agent, Mahlakgane, confirmed to SoccerLaduma.

“The condition was that he returns because he had one more year with an option to renew, but our negotiations simply fell apart,” the agent added.

Mahlakgane further added that they were assessing more options overseas for Tshabalala.

“For now we are looking at what we can do overseas,” Mahlakgane explained.

A return to his former club Chiefs could be a possibility for the former Bafana Bafana man as his jersey number is still available.
