Kaizer Chiefs striker Khama Billiat could be headed back to Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.
Billiat joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of last season but is now said to have grown increasingly frustrated with the developments at Naturena, with coaches coming and going as well as finding himself in an unsettled squad.
Advanced negotiations are said to be happening between the two major teams, and an announcement is expected as soon it is confirmed.
Masandawana have apparently offered Chiefs a muti-million rand deal to attract Billiat back to the PSL Champions, and several players have also been dangled to sweeten the deal.
Despite the rumours growing every hour, reached boiling point on Thursday, Billiat’s agent Michael Ngobeni stated that he does not know of such a move.
Ngobeni expressed that even if the two teams were in negotiations, he would only come into play once Sundowns and Amakhosi have reached an agreement.
“If they are discussing the move‚ then I don’t have to know about it. I can only know about it‚ let’s say‚ if maybe they have agreed on something,” Ngobeni told TimesLive.
“Then I will come in and talk to my player‚ But if they are talking of a possibility of doing that deal‚ it has got nothing to do with me and I don’t have to know.” Ngobeni added.
“Unless there is a movement going on then I have to be in it,” concluded Ngobeni.
