Ramaphosa to study Mkhwebane’s report – Presidency

President Cyril Ramaphosa will now review Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s unfair and wholly unfounded report before announcing a course of action, says his offices.

This comes after Mkhwebane, on Friday, found that Ramaphosa deliberately misled Parliament on a R500,000 donation.

Before revealing that the donation was for his CR17 presidential campaign, Ramaphosa had stated that the donation was for his son’s rendered services.

“He will further study the final report and announce the action if any, that he will take in relation to this matter moving forward.

“The president has reiterated his respect for the office of the Public Protector and appreciates a very important role of its place of safeguarding our constitutional democracy,” said President’s spokesperson Khusela Diko.
